The camps are for young people aged 8 to 13 years old who are on benefit related free school meals. The are also limited places for children/young people who have other needs for this provision (e.g. looked after young people, refugee/asylum seekers, those with an EHCP).
The sessions will be led by qualified and experienced staff and supported by a team of trained peer leaders who are part of the Seeds4Success Young Leaders programme. Each day there will be a range of different activities including sports and games, arts and crafts, practical challenges, cooking as well as some off-site activities such as nature walks and bushcraft skills. A more detailed programme will be provided closer to the start of the project. A healthy lunch will be provided free of charge each day. Transport can be provided.
