What this is:
This is a youth club for older young people with additional needs where they can socialise with their peers and participate in a range of practical activities.
Why we run it:
To enable older young people with additional needs to develop a range of life skills as well as providing them with the opportunity to make new friends and meet up with existing ones. Through engagement with a range of creative and practical activities such as making and putting up shelves, building a compost bin, batik and sewing, participants develop confidence, gain skills, increase independence and improve self-esteem.
